source url By the age of 9, Jorge had already begun his dance career at the prestigious dance school «Maria de Avila» under the direction of Maria de Avila and Lola de Avila. He won his first international dance competition, «International Competition of Zaragoza 2001», as a junior at the age of 14. Just two years later he won the same competition in the senior category. Motivated by these impressions, he began his professional dance career in the Junior Ballet of the «Ballet Biarritz II», season 2003 – 2004. In August 2004, Jorge García moved for one season to the «Sybaa Ballet» (Ballet Aragon System), which was founded by the Spanish director Elia Lozano. The following summer, Jorge García won the first place of the «International Competition Premio Roma 2005». During this competition Heinz Spoerli, director of the Zurich Ballet, noticed his talents and brought him to Zürich where Jorge progressed quickly from a junior to a senior soloist within two years.
http://tegoconsulting.com/ Since 2008, Jorge has danced at the Basel Theater Ballet, under the direction of Richard Wherlock, dancing numerous leading roles with prestigious choreographers. Jorge choreographed his first piece in 2011, Match [ing] Sounds, with which he was awarded with the first prize of the «Jugendförderpreis des Sperber-Kollegiums» in Basel, Switzerland. Since then he has built his own repertory, winning further international prizes as a choreographer including prizes at Cross Connection International Choreographic Competition, Copenhagen, Denmark, Hanover Choreographic International Competition, Germany and Burgos New-York International Choreographic Competition, Burgos, Spain.

CBD not only perform at invited events, but organise many events to promote young choreographers and dancers, creating opportunities for collaborations between many disciplines and enabling new opportunities for artistic expression and experience.
